Green-wing Macaw     ( Ara chloroptera)

Incubation Period:  26 - 28 Days      2 - 4 eggs per clutch

Adult Size:  32 - 33 inches.      1000 - 1200 grams

Noise Level:  Yes, this is a large vocal bird, but given a bit of liberty in the morning and evening to address parrot issues they won't drive you crazy with noise.

Life Expectancy:  May live 35 plus years with numerous birds  living beyond 75.

Activity Level:  Active and playful these big guys require a large play gym for exercise and entertainment.

Personality: Generally mellow and highly intelligent ( lots of puzzle and foraging toys ) . They are bold, comical and love an audience. Don't be intimidated by that large beak.

Housing Requirements:  Min, 32D x 48W x 60H  Unfortunately most cages on the market are really to small. The Featherland model 3248 seems to be the optimum size, providing enough room to accommodate the wingspan and tail length with enough space for large toys.
